This page exists to serve as an overview of the My RPG: Watashi no RPG!! universe. As the story is focused on very small worlds, there is not much beyond what appears for the purpose of My RPG!!'s narrative. Thus for the sake of brevity, this page will give an overview of important details.

As described by Fransisca, the universe of My RPG!! is comprised of many small worlds landscaped by Creators. These worlds are flat, and rarely larger than a dozen square kilometres. Outside the worlds is Nothingness, an empty void where concept of something ends. The purpose of these worlds can vary between motivations of these creators, but the party largely believes they exist for protagonists to have adventures in.

There also exists something seemingly known as the Greater Creator, due to the presence of Greater Creator Shrines scattered around worlds (without their creators' input). However no one seems to understand who or what that might be outside accepting it must exist.

People

There are several classes of humans present across the worlds. Valentina and Fransisca call them creators, protagonists, and NPCs.

Creators

Creators have the power to manipulate the environment of their world, and humans to some extent. Every world requires a creator to exist, and in most worlds people are aware of the concept of a creator, even if not always who their creator is. While creators notably can create any physical environment they might desire, there are limitations in other respects.

  • Creators cannot directly "modify" or influence other humans with their powers. Objects, like clothing, may be made to do this instead, but people are still subject to free-will.
  • They can move other humans around in their worlds, should they need to.
  • Creators cannot alter other creators' worlds.
  • A creator can see anywhere in any world they've created, but may not necessarily be able to do modifications at a distance.
  • Creators do not directly cause the existence of "monsters".

Michael also describes the existence of the inner darkness of creators. Unlike regular humans, these entities are born from creators fully-grown, identical to their origin, and represent rejected and uncomfortable feelings of that creator. When they are hurt enough, they are reintegrated into the creator.

These inner darkness can piggy-back on their host's authority — enabling creation and modification in the same space.

Protagonists

Protagonists are people with awareness and agency over the world around them and their believed destiny. Depending on the world, protagonists can be seen anything from protectors of the weak to delinquent nuisances. This awareness also enables interface with Greater Creator Shrines and crossing into other worlds.

NPCs

NPCs are the opposite to protagonists. They are people that go through their daily motions without question and dislike disruption of their perceived status-quo. They are easily influenced by their direct environment, and if placed in a new one will change on a dime as if taking on a new role.

Importantly, these terms not only are not universal, but NPCs are not always aware of the distinctions beyond the powers of their local creator. As far as they are concerned, protagonists are no different from them outside common personality quirks. Meanwhile, protagonists appear to subconsciously tell if someone is a protagonist or creator.

Known Worlds

SPOILER WARNING: Woah nelly, this section may contain spoilers for something that can be seen elsewhere on this website! Like a video game for download or something. Rad.
  • The Nothingness is the space that worlds "float" in. It is easily permeatable, making the edges of worlds dangerous to be around, lest you fall off into the nothingness. The nothingness itself is somewhat fluid in its sense of space, enabling other worlds to "overlap" at times up to a few metres. It is not otherwise known by anyone what exists in it.
  • Robin's World is comprised of HomeTown and barely anything else. It is an inexplicably self-sufficient hamlet haphazardly constructed to be barebones functional.
  • After escaping her "cage", Robin and Valentina end up in an unknown empty world that contains only some grasslands and a cavern. Passing through this world, the party briefly confronted Robin's parents, before they were whisked away again.
  • Michael's World is a communal village situated between forest and mountains. Compared to Robin's World, it is lush and humid, with the wild areas dense with fog. Michael himself lives in this village, existing as a figure of worship to keep an eye on his subjects.
    • In effort to protect his people, Michael created communal garbs to suppress thoughts of escaping the village. These were not completely effective, however.
    • A few months before the party arrived, Michael ended up replaced by his own inner darkness. This inner self locked Michael in the mansion north of the village and masqueraded as the original, turning the village more authoritarian and physically abusing dissenters.
  • Valentina's World contains a relatively developed town and a large grasslands space. She lived in this world with her girlfriend Alice, up until her uncle assaulted Alice and she ran away from home.
  • Isibeal's World contains a handful of villages surrounding a walled town and castle. These settlements engage in some trade of goods, but otherwise don't like to share their cultures, resulting in some judgements and assumptions from each side. The town also has a curfew, as monsters roam right outside the residents' doors at night.
    • There is some familiarity with protagonists in this world, as some NPCs comment about "out of order neighbours".
