World Line

You who broke free from your world line, I grant you the power to forge unity.

The term world line is a semi-frequent topic in the Unityverse, notably in Witness to Unity.

This page exists to make the following clarification — a world line in the Unityverse is based on the original definition of the term, rather than the kind one might be familiar with from the likes of Steins;Gate.

In this graph, the object moves through space+time, then only space, space+time again, and then only time for a period

When space and time are represented on a graph, you may represent one axis for space, and another for time. A line on this graph will then show whether an object is moving through space, time, or both. This is that object's world line — the path it takes through space-time.

Before they are born, people are bound to the world line of their mother. When they are born, they will eventually grow up and diverge from their family's world line. In the context of the Unityverse (and arguably real life), the vast majority of creatures will live their lives bound to the world line of the planet they live on.

Thematically speaking, world lines in the Unityverse represent fate. Conversely, to be bound to the same world line as something else means to be bound to the same fate. The power of Unity has influence over world lines due to its creation and manipulation of subconscious connections.
